If you have the plug you can install the kicker kit. We can't see from this view if you have the plug. You have to look behind your drive sprocket, not in front of it. Look in the hole in the engine mount where the kicker shaft would go through. The plug is actually on the left case 1/2, not on the right (but its on the right hand (inside) side of the left case 1/2 behind where the right case mates to it.

It is easy enough to get that oil line out of the way.
Check your "belly numbers". The kicker can go into early 1980 models only. Belly number 780-108-001 may be the break point. Before that is early for the ignition timing procedure.

I think it is held in with a bolt from the inside.
