Default Speedometer stopped working

My 03 1200 speedometer quit working. It has happened before and I would turn the key off while riding and back on and it would work. But not this time! No matter what I tried to do it will not come back on! I have about 200 miles on my new 1275 BFH120 plus how engine, so I want the speedometer to work

Mine drops out occasionally and jumps back up. Haven't figured out why yet and only does it now and then.

Clean your oil sensor it may help or need replaced. Does your auto shutoff turn signals not work also?

I was thinking speed sensor not oil sensor my bad lol. It located on trans with 2 allen screws if i rember right. Just pull out and clean. When it gets dirty or just bad ur speedo will quit n auto shutoff on ur turn signals wont work.

The orange/white wire from the acc. fuse powers the speedo/odo, red/gray wire from acc fuse to switch. If your Ignition switch is bad it will cause your problem. Sometimes wiggling the key will light up the speedo. Check the Ignition switch threads here on the forum.

All working again! Guess 16 years and 100000 miles is a lot for a fuse!
