I was in the south of England 20 years ago... I can remember single lane country roads with 12 foot hedges either side but can’t remember a grid. I’m not saying there isn’t any, I just can’t remember seeing any.

Yes. They are mostly for the sheep out here but we have some cattle. I’m going riding on Sunday so I’ll actually get a Live Photo of one. The first time I saw one it made me scratch my head. Back in Illinois they had the old metal ones. .
