glad to hear about your success with this p.i.t.a.thanks to all that contributed.i've been through generator issues switching from a oem 6 volt to a 12 v aftermarket and replacing that with 12 v cycle electric to mechanical voltage regulators with 12 v bosch and finally replacing that with solid state electronic.no problems for years now.

Believe me when I say there were weak moments where I came very close to pulling the trigger on a brand new DGV-5000 and throwing this old stuff in a box. And I may still do so, one of these days, now that I have all the original stuff working... at least for now anyway.
