cancer
Late last year i was found to have a small spot in my right lung and a 20 mm lymph node high in my chest found on xray, So my doc sent me for a chest ct scan which confirmed the spot and node in the chest ,Also the ct showed and enlarged pancreas with small nodes showing on it as well,After having a needle biopsy on the spot the tests showed it was suspicious as being malignant,But due to the small amount of tissue taken they cannot determine what type of cancer,So my doctor sent me to have the chest node biopsied,During all this my bowl habits changed and was sent for a colonoscopy that found a two inch tumour in my colon that was biopsied and came back as cancer,This monday i went to my doc to get the results of the node biopsy and she told me that it worse than she expected it is not bowl cancer that has spread or lung cancer that has spread it is metastatic melanoma in the lung and chest node and the bowl cancer is a secondary primary cancer that has spread to my pancreas,,on top of all this she said they read my pet scan wrong and dint see that i have hot spots in my oral cavity and tonsills and vocal chords,Damn what next ,So now im waiting to see a melanoma clinic to try and find the primary tumour ,But she told me that at this stage they can only give me pallative care to make me comfortable as surgery will only take time away from me due to recovery times,This is going on to the fifth month since they found the spot in my lung and as yet I had no treatment what so ever starting to get a little p off ,And im having a hard time dealing with all this on top of not working bills pilling up and just seem to keep getting bad news and more unanswered questions ,Sorry for the long winded tread but needed to vent

Investigate this device:
Cyber Knife
Not sure if the cancer you have is treatable with that technology or not, but it is noninvasive and recovery time is a lot shorter.
If that technology is too expensive, they have special programs where Accuray will waive a lot of the costs.
I designed and build the computer rack that runs the Cyber Knife.

Cancer Sucks
Vent all you want and then some! Just spent the last year and a half of my life in hell from the big C. Feel free to PM me if you need to use the words I used alot during that time. Even though the founder of Livestrong is a fake the organization is good, they have tons of lists of organizations for treatment, support and just basic information to let you understand whats going on. I think some doctors rely heavy on the fact that none of us wants to hear bad news so we think no news is good news and test results get pushed to the back of the line. Sorry you have been waiting on the diagnosis for so long and your onclologist isn't giving you any options. If you want to fight then I would find an oncologist that thinks more along the lines you do. Strength during this time for you and your loved ones. Hope the symptoms aren't keeping you from living life.

Hello sir,
First of all, my thoughts are with you. Coming from experience, do as AIR said...Check out Cyberknife. My mother had it during her cancer and I and her only had good things to say about it. WHEN you get into a facility that carries cyberknife, it will be a top facility with top staff. It's a great tool that makes treatment as comfortable as current technology allows.
Good Luck Brother

cancer
Thanks for the kind words and support everybody has posted ,I am waiting to see an oncologist next week when I got to the melanoma clinic ,Just cant understand why this has taken so long , Going on over five months now and i am starting to suffer,And the node in my chest has doubled in size in three months.Where I live there is a brand new section opening on tuesday at the local hospital that is a state of the art cancer center ,Thats one good point ,So at least when i do start treatment I wont have to travel for hours as I live in a remote rural area.Hopefully they might have this cyber knife or something similar,That may be able to remove this node in my chest or at least shrink it down to ease the pain it is causing me .But I will have to wait to see .Once again thankyou for your support
