Default Anybody running a 6 speed trans

Thinking about a Baker 6 speed for my '00 1200S and wondering if anyone is running one and what they think.
Thanks in advance for the input.

just put in in this spring, 883c, put about 800 miles on it now.
need to add that at the same time I did a 1275cc conversion on it. left the 883 gearing in it. I don't shift into 6 till I am at 70 or over. I cannot give you any rpm info 'cause no tach, however if I go slower then 70 in six I can hear primary chain rattling - to me that means to low rpm.
over all I really like the 6 speed. my shifting pattern is 1 up 5 down was a pain getting use to 'tho it runs through the gears faster then the 1 up 4 down pattern (old 5 speed trans).
hope this helps

I had one in my 2003, same advice as screndname, use the 883 gearing, that is a 27T front sprocket.
You speedo will be off with the 27T vs the stock 1200 29T.

I did have problems with the first unit but Baker sent me a new one with no issues.
In fact it is still in the box never installed. I sold my 2003 and I don't feel the need to put it in my 2001 1200S.

If you are interested make me an offer. Remember it won't have the 5-year warranty that a new Baker will have. I may even have the 27T sprocket also.
Mine is the normal shift pattern.
