Default 2001 X1 lightning bogs out on me

Hello all I'm new here and have been scowering the forum and the web for a while looking for a solution.
Just got my X1 a few weeks ago from a guy that only road it 3x in the last 2 years. Figured thi gs might be gummed up so I've ran a few tanks of 91 non oxt through it with some injector cleaner to clean it out. Still hasn't made a difference
Has anyone else had this issue?
What did you do to rectify the issue?

Like I said I've looked everywhere and I may have missed this somewhere but I've spent weeks looking.

Did you try a new fuel filter? Maybe physically clean the injectors, Too.

Should I stick to a stock fuel filter or can I get one off ebay?
Also the bogging is not all the time, it's periodic.

Did the P.O. fess up to any mods?

Chances are that the fuel filter needs replacing and injectors need cleaning. Throttle body too perhaps. Ultrasonic cleaning really doesn't get the gum out of small passages, it needs chemicals and pressure. I'd remove the tank and clean it real good a couple times with Sea Foam to loosen and remove any gummy stuff. Any new fuel may loosen up gummy stuff and send it downstream.

I bought my current X1 from a guy who let it sit for 7 years and had to replace those parts plus the fuel pump. And a TPS reset did the trick.

Update: I tried starting it a few days ago and only one cylinder was working so I shut it down. Called St.Paul Harley and they told me $280 an hour to look at it which is ridiculous, they could've just said they didn't want it. So I reached out to the guy I bought it from to see who he had worked on it. Turns out this guy Chris Nimpsy is the last Buell GURU left in Minnesota down in Fairbault so now it's in his hands.

I'll keep you updated.

Well here's what it was. Do to sitting all but still for 2+ years the injectors were all gummed up so all it took was a few pressure cycles with carb cleaner through them and now it runs like the machine it is. Great mechanic saved me a few hundred by fixing instead of replacing. Awesome.
