Default Seat options for XL1200

My fiancé just picked up a 2019 Iron 1200 and is looking for a better seat. As she is planning on keeping the bike for about a year and then upgrading to a Softtail Deluxe, I'm suggesting she look at used seats.

Will any seat that fit a 2004-Present work on her bike? She has the 3.3g tank, so I don't know if we would have to trim the nose or not.

Think seats for the 2.2 tank have a long nose. Also the ECU was moved for some years then went back again

Measure your seat from anchor points and then ask vendors to give you the same.
On mine (05) the ECU sits on top of the oil tank and the seat has a recess for it. Some seats don't have this recess so will not fit.

Seat options for a 1200 are very much the same as seat options for an 883. The seat doesn't know how big the engine is!

Any seat 2004+ that is designed to fit with the 3.3 gal tank should be OK.
