Thanks.
I bought it on my birthday in 07, HD dealership mechanic had it one year and put 1000 miles on it. Within 6 months I had it as you see it and been that way ever since. Born and raised in the south, first 4 years of ownership down low, Midwest now for last 10. I don’t have a garage but I do store it in a shed for winter. I ride her hard and put her away wet.
As for maintenance and repair, within a year of buying I had the dreaded clutch blowout. Put a Barnett extra plate and 15% spring. Still holding strong. The rake kit is now 13 years old and only this year the fork seals are leaking, replacing in spring. This year while helping my brother fix his carburetor/ignition issues I went ahead and replaced all my carburetor and manifold seals since they were all still factory. I had the starter relay go out, couple batteries, tires, brake pads, oil changes. Down south I rode with a group and we did annual 1000+ mile weekend rides from New Orleans to Houston with camping and riding there. I haven’t even changed a light bulb or the drive belt yet. I do all my own work except for tires. I’m expecting to someday rebuild the motor and tranny but will deal with that when the time comes. I must have gotten lucky with this bike. She’s been real good to me. No complaints.

Down south rode with a group and riding season all year. Last 10 up north, 6-7 months of riding, and home and work schedule allows hardly much time to ride. I take her to work buts that’s only a 3 mile round trip, so I often take the long way home. Plus I also use the 02 Roadster. So yeah, miles are low for her age.

Looks cool! I’m looking at putting a Rake kit on my 06 Custom. What it did you use? Thanks.
