Forward bars aggravate my sciatica and cause extreme pain within 30 minutes of riding. Mid-controls force my back into its natural curve and I can ride all day with no pain.

Higher bars of any type give me less control in the turns. My stock lower bars give me the best control, particularly in the tight mountain twisties.

Different strokes for different folks.

Handlebar is just narrow. Mirror view is nothing compared to what I could see on Aprilia Pegaso.
Same mirrors on FatBoy give perfect view because of wide handlebar.

Drag Specialities have mirrors that are identical as the original but longer and the difference in view is fantastic.
Part number for the black ones is 06401310 (have chrome to). And the price is better that the original ones.

This is what I've had on my Sportster for a few years now and they work great with the lower handlebars. They do have to be tightened occasionally with the two screws on the back which only takes a few minutes.
