Default 2000 XL12000C With Protac Backrest, Rush Mufflers & Spoked Rear Wheel

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRdNJtH3E2c

The YT tags didn't seem to work so just posted the link. Change the quality to HD when you arrive at the video on Youtube.

Just thought I'd post a video of my 1200C which I thought might be of particular interest to those considering a backrest. I can honestly say, in over 40 years of riding, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST MOD I'VE EVER DONE! BAR NONE! It has completely transformed the ride of this bike. I can now accelerate as hard as I like and my arms remain completely relaxed. The strain on my back from the forward controls has been completely alleviated, leaving my back upright, relaxed and incredibly comfortable. My legs are also now completely relaxed. No need to hang on at speeds in excess of 60mph, even high speeds. Regardless of speed or acceleration your back, arms and legs remain completely strain free. If I'd have known how good these were years ago I'd have either bought one of these if they existed or had one made. Add to that it takes all of 5 minutes to install... I'm speechless at just how nice the ride now is! Civilisation dawns!!

Nice idea, but where's the video?

The link you posted is a link to the 'Sportster General Discussion' section.

Thanks; that looks great. Do you find that it makes it harder getting on and off the bike?

LOL! Yes, it can but my bike is slightly lowered so not a problem. The rest also just pulls out so if it is a problem you can always slot it back into place after mounting.

The tags still work, but YouTube have deprecated video embedding. You can't watch the video in the thread; it's now just a link to the video on the YouTube site. Still looks better than a raw link, IMO:
