Do you guys think I'm out to lunch on my price?

Thanks,

Nice looking bike.

One other place to consider listing it is Facebook Marketplace if on Facebook

I bought a 2007 1200R for $3500 last March and I thought that was a great price. However that was in PA when it was still cold out.

My brother was in the shop a while back and I commented to him about what was going to happen to all this stuff when I check out? - "probably going to some yard sale then the recycle station". His reply..."you're the only thing gives this stuff any value". That's when I got with a couple buddies and made mutual arrangements for toy disposal so our junk doesn't get "given away" by some estate sale geek. We'll, or someone will, see how that works out some day, might be some good deals on Brit bikes and sportsters.
Boy, the "you're the only thing that gives this stuff value" really hit home. When my best friend passed in '15, I had convinced him, months before, to give his '79 XLCH to his nephew. The kid had gotten married 2 yrs before and sold his Sportster when he started having kids. Saw the '79 up for sale a year later for "Best Offer" and we tried to buy it and keep it in the brotherhood family. Made him feel guilty, so he hung onto it . But, fate's wicked hand let it go to some out of state buyer a year later. I hope it has a good home. Sentimentalism and reality collide, often, when buying or selling a motorcycle.

I have never lost money on a boat or a shotgun, you just have to know what you are buying and it's intended market.
