Sounds like he needs fork tubes at the very least, maybe a full set of forks. We can rebuild them. Or possibly he needs a "doner" bike? It sounds like the engine is OK except for the filter getting broken off. Dave, when you have time, can you confirm that the mounting threads and mounting surface are in good shape for that filter?

thank you folks for now.i'm going to take my time and make a list.and recover a bit more.not going to be a big list as I do everything myself.front fork tubes,headlight mount,left side footpeg mount,super e air cleaner,inner and outer.i'm off the computer for now
