had the 04 done by a shop before I started wrenching and learnin, did my dads bike at home its an 87

I can't believe the difference, not just power, it runs, sounds and drives more like I imagined a Harley should. Glad I did it.

Did the conversion in 2002. Going for Buell Thunderstorm heads and pistons + SE bolt in cams or maybe XB heads and pistons, depends on the price differens.... Have to save up for this, so I have to wait til next year
Did a custom paintjob +++ lots of other things this year, posting pics when the weather here in Norway gets a bit better

'05 Standard 883/1200 touring conversion with: '07 XB heads with 8.8:1 c/r, dragtron II a/c, Caliber 2into1 five step header, rejetted to: 46pilotjet @ two turns,needle clip on 4th groove,185 main jet,twin tech high performance ignition, 30 tooth trans pulley, jagg oil cooler, forward controls, pullback type handle bars,memphis fats windshield, Corbin classic solo seat with back rest, 10" pillion pad, black progressive 412 shocks 12.5" H-D springs, progressive fork springs, vista cruise control, and relocated ignition & coil to a stainless steel home brewed mount between the cylinders. (Temp. runs around 165-180 degrees in town and 180- 210 degrees on the freeway running 70-90mph and it uses no oil in between 3000 mile changes.) GPS calibrated speedometer.

Funny think is that the 883 was "enough" until I read about upgrading.... I used NRHS to bore my cylinders - great group of people to work with, and the quality was awesome!

I don't know if I want to remark, but I've never been very good about holding down a secret, so, I'll just say that I'm about to make the jump to initiate a serious conversion. We'll just leave it at that.
