Stock seat. Recently rode 1500 miles over four days ... 500 miles on the first day alone. Comfort? Feels good to my wallet ... and it's located in the same general area of concern.

I agree....I've ridden LOTS of bikes with LOTS of seats, and I can't complain about my stocker 2-up, but I WOULD like more lower back support....I LOVE the supports offered on the dressers for the rider....

That's the only addtional comfort I would want....

Otherwise, 3-400 miles really doesn't mean a thing.....and I'm 43.....

Well I've got the Mustang day tripper and can do a 500 miler without much of an issue. But I'm still tired when I get off. But yes its all about them complete riding position. You need to find whats right for you. Do you like to sit upright? Stretched out? or somewhere in between? I like stretched out... so, drag bars, forward controls, and a long low seat. Still remember this isn't your living room recliner and we don't want you falling asleep so don't get too comfy...

this poll is worthless unless the condition of the poll is that every person who answers has tried each seat...which i bet is a small number.

it would be much better to have a thread that doesn't get off on tangents that says basically:

seat i started with:
seat i changed to:
other seat i changed to:

this is the one i like the best:

I agree with all that said the stock seat is fine for comfort. When your butt is used to a bicycle seat the stock one feels like a sofa.

Be nice if you could sit on these seats before shelling out the bucks!

I went with the Mustang Vintage wide... with the backrest.

I have only used the backrest a couple times. I figure that for extra it cost, I better get it as changing my mind later would be real expensive.

My butt likes the Mustang seat MUCH more than the HD solo seat. I started getting fidgety with old seat before an hour. I have been out for 3-4 hours with the Mustang without issues. To be totally fair the weather has been cooler after I changed the seat. If is as good in the summer weather, I'll be very happy.

I like the mustang for comfort hands down. Not to crazy about the look, but the rear end likes it....
