Default Stairman question

Jimstah, i have a very dark walnut stock on a shotgun i am refinishing and would like to keep it as light as possible on the oil finish.

Tru oil, Tung oil or varnish?

Stoeger condor competition, the walnut is damn near mahogany dark with nice figuring once i stripped the horrible plastic finish off it, trying to highlight it as best it can be.

Burnish with wax maybe?

I have worked with Tung oil, does get a little sticky when in the high humidity and heat here, looking for a no tint, tack free with my environment.
No tint is my biggest bitch.

Going to rechecker it in 28 lines or maybe stipple it, either after finish, it's a clay gun for the tournaments here.
