Default Kibblewhite valve guides

Well,I have adapted these 84-01 XL valve guides to fit the dnepr heads...damn,it worn out in few dozen of km... al least the russian ones lasted few thousands.Any of you have used this brand in your builds?

Kibblewhite has a reputation for making quality parts. While it's possible, it doesn't see likely your guide wear was due to bad guide material. Maybe some other factors are causing the rapid wear. Incompatable valve stems, bad rocker geometry or lack of lubrication?

I know nothing about dnepr bikes and out of curiosity did a search. Is your's a horizontal twin?

This may not be the model you have but I watched this video. I'm wondering how the valves get lubricated.

Interesting bikes for sure.

Yes,that s the engine. It gets(a lot) the oil through the pushrod tubes by splash/oil mist.I have not found any rocker geometry issue;no side to side play in shaft/bushing;it has even a cap on the top of the valve stem cushioning direct contact with the rocker arm;only the concentricity of springs to guide can not be 100% controlled by the factory poor design;Maybe to soft valve springs?the egg shaped wear is in horizontal plan,as the rocker movement.Valve stem was polished and expansion on operating temp was checked, guide rimmed to the right clearence after been inserted in the head...
