I knew what he meant. It didn't bother me. As a production supervisor, I was used to seeing operators' notes in the computer log with many honest errors that were humorous. Most of the time, everybody just smiled at them and went on our way. One of my favorites was, "No downtime for shit" instead of "...for shift". Life happens.

2 BarcaLounger BT fell over and it took 6 of us to get them back up... a few times.

Park ranger came through after we got the bikes up and back to the bottom of the main road. He told us it was a 51% grade

SO if ever you want some hill climbing action go to Canyon Mouth picnic area and go UP Alabama 273 outside of Cedar Bluff.

I liked it..

Btw, the fun road is 275. 273 is the dull one on the east side of the canyon.

So... years later, I finally got back out to the Little River Canyon Road, and yes, rode all the way from 35 to the "drop 'o death" even passing the "here be dragons" sign. I once again, did not have the inclinometer I'd bought but do have an app on my phone that does the same. Tested against the tool.

The grooving is heavy and uneven so I took two measurements. Average out to 20 degrees or a 36.4% grade.

Also, to demonstrate how steep it is, I watched a few vehicles going up and not one stopped at the stop sign at the top, they all rolled through.

What is sketchy is being parked in a row of bikes at a bar and laying yours down and then watching the domino effect kick in.

It is the best way to clear out a bunch of bikes when a bunch of bikes pull in and surround yours so you cannot leave.

I went down again last September. No idea what happened. I don’t remember what happened. Witnesses said that I went in to the corner completely controlled then half way through I stood up and went down in the ditch. I came back up coming to the highway and caught the lip of the road and went down. Had some unidentified orange residue on my face. Still no idea and I still have about a 12 hour lapse there that I don’t remember anything at all.

7 times on different bikes.
First bike: '93 1200 Anniversary
-while stopped in the driveway kickstand popped back up as I committed to put her down and fell over. Undamaged
-came to a stop exiting a parking lot with a tall hill and the bike angled to the hill couldn't put my foot down, fell over. Undamaged.
-pant leg stuck on mid control, fell over. Undamaged.
-low sided a blind tight corner at 30mph. Much damage.

Second bike: '09 Nightster
-forgot kick stand while making adjustments to headlight allignment. This one bothers me still because I pretty much threw the bike forcefully onto the concrete because I trusted the kickstand was still down. Very dumb. Scratched signals and lever.

Third bike: '67 Sprint 250
-kickstand collapsed on its own while I was getting my gear on near to the bike (no locking kickstand) and broke the lever off.
-motorcycle lift deflated very slowly and didn't notice until I heard the crash from under my welding hood. Broke the same lever again.

Once in the garage when I thought the kick stand was down. once when it was knocked out from under me by a suicidal deer.

Five times, many different bikes in over 60+years. That’s not counting dirt bikes as it was easy dropping them numerous times in a good day.

Once 40 years ago serious Friday after work drinking. Couldn't believe I got home...about 2:00 AM forgot to put kickstand down. Made it in the house though

If we're talking dirt bikes I've been upside down in trees. As far as street bike go the worst I've had to do is lay my chopper into a slide when a truck locked them up in front of me. No front brakes.
