I just picked up another sporty. '94 hugger. So my machinist side kicked in and I just ordered material to make some custom forwards with custom brake and shifter levers and linkage. Also making a set of bars, pegs and matching shifter knob. Side mount Plate mount. I already made the tank lift.

For my '05 I'm going to make a sissy bar. The girlfriend is bitching about the one that I have. Its a quick connect and only sits about 3in. above the seat. So Imma make something about 16in above the seat line. I have to do something motorcycle related in the winter to semi satisfy the itch. Immediate post some pictures when I get some stuff done.

Great video! I like the speeded up sequences too. It shows how without taking all the long time for each process. I am gonna have to try some of that for sure. Got several old pieces of aluminum on the scrap pile to practice on. I have to wear the magnifier headset for detail work too. I am half blind close in.

Good work and thanks for taking the time to put the video up!

Anytime. I hope it helped. :-)

That was a crude drawing that I put down. Before I did those rocker boxes I watched this video and allot of other acanthus leaf videos to get a feel for the patterns. I should have rewatched it before I made that video.lol

Yes, OptiVisors are a must. I used to do it without one. Never again. The extension for the Dremel is also a must so your hands don't cramp so much. After I engrave a piece I run it under the polisher until it shines like a new penny. Usually the relief cuts will still be dull so the pattern shows up even more.

I got the acanthus leaf design page bookmarked now. It shows some really good designs. I had been just drawing mostly vines that are common in this area. The acanthus leaf designs are much more artistic. Gonna have to try some of that. The drawing first and then maybe some Dremel.

Lots of good designs here;

Thanks again........ steered me in a new direction.
