Default Advise for a trip to Louisville.

Hello All,

The wife and I are traveling south for the weekend and would love some local advise on Louisville.

What are the best two bourbon distilleries to tour?

Name few great restaurants that don’t cost over $30 a plate. I like local recommendations.

What is the best “low key” bars to go to downtown? Someplace with a lot of microbrews patio preferred but not a big deal. Good bar food Rock and roll, punk or post-hardcore (hopefully live). No “top ten” pop music.

Thank you,

Jason

Just left Ft Knox to come here to Ft Benning
As to the distillery to visit heaven hills is very nice good tour and most importantly good samples at the end.
Woodford reserve would probably be my other choice in the area.
Makers mark is pretty good but wasn't too impressed with sample time.
Sorry can't really help with the other questions

Thumbs up

I can't say much on the distilleries tours as so much has changed since I left there many years ago.

I know one thing that hasn't changed is my favorite restaurant.

I HIGHLY rcommend Mike Linnig's Place restaurant!!!
http://www.mikelinnigsrestaurant.com/

They're the known across the U.S.A for the finest seafood.

How could I forget to mention that on any evening, you can expect to see many H-D's there! Very biker friendly and known place!
