Default Tires in Louisville

Anybody got a good lead on getting tires put on in Louisville Ky? I can get tires for 187 but a shop I called said it was 60 a piece to put them on. Anyone know a cheaper route? Do you know where I can get tires and get them put on cheaper? Thanks for any info!! Danny

If you don't buy the tire from the place you want them mounted, it's normal to pay extra.
They have to make some money somewhere and you aren't giving them a chance with a tire sale so the labor will be "extra."

Did you price tires and mounting from the same place?
Usually a break in total price.

If you don't mind Dunlops, the best price I had was from my Harley dealer.

They can discount them.
A stock size front and rear Dunlop was $156 total.
I had to pay for mounting but I thought $156 for two tires was fair.

The outfit I bought from last year went under...

There is a new place in Corydon, IN, but when I called him a couple of months ago, he could not mount tires yet.
But he told me to call back after the first of the year, I'll let you know what I find out.

The dealer wants a mint to mount them, I will try them again this year, but good service from a dealer in Louisville can be hard to find.
I heard downtown got a new owner last year, maybe they will be better, wouldn't take much.
