I have just about decided if you keep the oil changed and take care of the mechanical maintenance that it don't make a fiddler's damn what kind of oil you use, just so it is suitable for the application and listed for use in wet clutch systems. I am now using Lucas Full Synthetic Motorcycle Oil for wet clutch applications............. mainly just because it is easy to get.
I agree 100%

Major motorcycle engines share the same oil in engine and gearbox. So if it is specified for both, I don't know why it shouldn't be good for both...

There's a difference between good for(read safe for) and best for. What's best for my motor is not safe for use in wet clutches.
