Question 1975 Sportster

What can be done to reduce the finger pull required to release the clutch on these early iron head Sportsters? City driving is not that pleasant with all that clutch work? Is it possible to cut-extend and tig weld back the clutch operating lever to get better leverage? I am new here so excuse my question that has likely been asked before....many times.

Your other post says your bike has been sitting for a decade. The clutch cable is likely dry and worn causing friction. A new cable from Barnett and a properly adjusted clutch should make your pull force much easier.
