Celebrating Sportsterpedia's 5th Anniversary

WOW! It doesn't seem like 5 years has passed since Bert posted about the new Sportsterpedia wiki. Time, like a well tuned Sportster, just keeps rolling along!

I'll simply say that we appreciate each and every contribution to the knowledge base that IS the XLForum. Whatever part you have played in joining in the camaraderie of the XLForum, we say THANK YOU! You have helped to create this Sportsterpedia wiki resource that is referenced around the world for its Sportster specific information, ideas and solutions.

A special thanks to Bert for creating this resource and for his continued hosting of it to the benefit of us all.

Another special thanks from me (and I'm sure the whole community) goes to Hippysmack for his tireless contributions to this resource. Without his efforts, the Sportsterpedia would only be a shadow of what it is today. Thank you, thank you, thank you...


This will be the last annual anniversary that I'll post. I'll probably post another one on the 10th Anniversary (if I'm still clicking the keyboard).

I'll say it has been and continues to be an incredible journey for me learning the information to add in the Sportsterpedia.
Besides, time isn't important. It's what you do with it that is.
I can't think of anything else in the world I'd rather be a part of.
But none of it would be possible without Bert's incentive and the members contributions to the XLF.

Thanks goes out to all for the help and advice in the Sportsterpedia and the Forum.
Don't let IXL2Relax fool you though,
He's played a major role in formatting and structure of the pedia as well as countless contributions.
His help and guidance has greatly improved the Sportsterpedia in more ways to count.
And without the forum members, none of it would have been possible (not a cliche but the truth).
We hope the information helps everybody in some way.

It didn't hit me until I read the phrase "5 Years". Dang, I've gotten older again.
With all that is currently present in the Sportsterpedia, there is a ton more that isn't.
I'll be looking forward to that 10 year announcment.
