Angry XLCH kicker giving me a major headache!

I have a 73 XLCH.

when purchased It was running a katara belt drive, which was on the way out, so I changed it back to O.G chain primary. hooked up the kick only clutch basket and it was kicking fine, took it for a spin around the block.... came out the next day, and the kicker is jamming......

it jam's on the kick down and doesnt move the primary, I have taken this thing apart, shimmed, different shaft spacers and still.... I tighten up the clutch basket and the kicker doesnt let me kick it.

I cannot for the life of me work out why this is happening, wondering if anybody else has had a similar issue? it seems as if the kicker ratchet is jamming, but the kicker returns fine.... it just doesnt let me move the primary.

If i put the belt drive back on, the thing kicks over fine...... weird? must be something with the clutch basket perhaps?

Possibly, check to see with the stock clutch basket if it has a wobble to it, and can we get pictures of all this?
