Default Vented or non vented? Memphis shades road warrior

Has anyone compared the vented to non-vented?
I get some buffeting with the non vented and I was wondering if the vented version would make that go away.

The venting, as I understand it, is to minimize the updraft created behind the bottom of the shield?

Yes it is. It worked pretty well on my Concours, will probably work well for the Memphis Shades application too.
