Hmm, cycletrader; I found that an odd site, full of old ads that'd never been pulled down, and sellers that didn't respond (probably because the bike was long gone) - or weren't interested in selling..

I already have too many bikes, but I liked this. Quite a lot. And apparently only listed there for a day:

It only winds up there because the Japanese are willing to pay top dollar.

How do you have too many bikes? Too little room maybe

Heh, exactly - that and "I should really get on that", or unfinished project guilt...

About 8 years ago I had a Linkert M53-A1 carb on eBay. It was in good shape and very pretty but missing the entire choke assembly.

A guy from Japan messaged me and asked if I would ship to there if he emailed me all the required documentation. I said OK.

Then he asked if I would edit my listing to include a “Buy it Now” and he gave me a price that was well over what I would expect to get in an auction.

My momma didn’t raise no fools. ( Except when it applies to my chopper front brakes )

When I see pics of a KHK in Japan, I wonder if that’s my carb.

* Oh and Ferrous... my step-son actually asked me to compile a spreadsheet of my machinery, bikes, guitars and guns, in case I leave earlier than expected.

I'm in the process of doing that myself, right now.

Project books. My brother died this year leaving no clues to many of the bikes/carsengine/parts in his collection. He bought quite a large factory to work on them and to store them.

You really should have a book for each project with all of the documentation for each project. Things like Titles, a description of what it is and your hopes and dreams of what it will become.

While I know what a Turbo Fuel Super B is and what it's worth compared to the Bendix sitting beside it no one else in my family does. And I rate my Sifton minus minus cams much higher than the P and PB cams which all sit in similar boxes/bags.

What I really need to do is just not buy anything else and finish what I have left. And then maybe sell them.

But it's pretty hard trying to tell your self you only need one bike and one project.
