Default Cam position sensor

Hello All,


My cam position sensor has had the material that seal the wires leak out inside the nose cone. Do I need a new sensor or do I just silicone the wires to seal it up?
Any advantage to a new electronic unit? Would this mean doing away with the voes? Bike is a 2000 Buell Cyclone

A new sensor is only $40 from Drag Specialties.

Anyone have a part # for this thing I am assuming that it is the same for a 2000 Sportster too right? Can't find anything after market.

no that is for an older bike. You need one for a 98-03.

Thank you.............I'd order from you but I live so far away that it wouldn't make any sense as the shipping would be too expensive I must try to get it locally ......................Can I ask one more question? Would this cam gear cover fit my 2000 Buell Cyclone?http://www.ebay.ca/itm/HARLEY-DAVIDS...-/321357037525 Once again I have to buy local as shipping would be silly thanks.
