I got hit by a car on my bicycle, and the insurance paid for a brand new Cervelo R3. Did a few century rides last summer and one 200 mile - Seattle to Portland. Great way to stay in shape!

Were you alright?
(Didn't know you could get cycle insurance, other than it be covered as a possession on house contents insurance)

Don't a charity 48 mile mountain bike ride next month to raise money for local air ambulance but wouldn't survive doing a 100 miler, let alone a 200 mile ride.
That's seriously impressive.

Definitely a fun way to keep trim though.
Fun & good for you, one of those rare things

Well done Mikey! Kudos given.

I'm afraid I'm a bit of a roadie. Here's me on my Ridley Orion last July on a 60 mile sportive (don't laugh) and a pic of just my bike...

In 2012, I cycled across France - La Rochelle (Atlantic) to Narbonne (Mediteranean) over 5 days and next year, I may do Lands End to John O'Groates with my brother.

Nice bike, good action shot too. Reminds me I need to get one of my photographer friends out to the woods to get some shots (not that I'm vain or anything... )

You seem to like White bikes

It was the drivers fault, so her insurance paid for it. I was going strait through a green light, she was comin the other way and turned left right in front of me. I put a serious dent in her hood and bumper, and took off her side mirror. Bike was mangled. I flipped over the top of her car and somehow landed on my feat! Walked away! Wish someone would've filmed it!

Although, I was probably going 20 mph through that light, which is fast for a bicycle. I can't imagine going 60 on a motorcycle...

For the cyclists in here who are interested, got a big ride done today fundraising for charity.

Pretty pleased with my performance (particularly for a 50/50 on/off road ride) with no suspension and one gear

Well done Mike and all for a great cause - I hope you don't ache too much over the next couple of days!

I've done a couple of Pilgrims Hospice Rides - Margate, Canterbury and Ashford and back via Sandwich (about 78 miles) and I'll probably do this years one on the 4 May.

You talkin to me???

Don't even get me started.

Oops, too late.

My main ride is a Santa Cruz Tallboy LTC (Long Travel Carbon) 5 inch travel dual suspension carbon mountain bike that I ride on everything from downtown urban assaults to fast cross country to moderate downhill.

I also have a Merlin 3/2.5 ti road bike that sees little use these days and a Kona Raijin ti mtn hardtail that also sees little use. Up on the auction block I have a Titus El Guapo set up for agressive freeride and downhill use.

I used to race non-competitively and used to participate in charity rides from 60 to 100 miles.

Now I just explore the city on my Tallboy and see what kind of terrain I can find to jump, drop, or otherwise have fun on.

Here is the Tallboy taken on the Porcupine Rim Trail above Castle Valley Utah last year.

I compete locally in several triathlons a year. My bike is a 2007 Specialized Sequoia, with mods to give it a tri-specific geometry.
