Fork Oil Measurement
Is the fork oil height measurement intended to be set with the fork legs off the bike and standing vertical or does the measurement spec take into account the rake of the forks when mounted on the bike?

Oil should be 5.6" from top of fork. I assume this means with the forks straight up (vertical). I did mine with the front end lifted off the ground and took the measurement at the highest part of the oil and the lowest part of the oil and the difference should put it in the middle (5 3/4" forward and 5 1/4" rearward would put it at 5 1/2" or 5.5"). One of my forks didn't drain as well as the other so when I checked it 2 weeks later, I had more fluid in one tube. It caused a slight wobble, but once I evened them out the wobble was gone.

Thanks for the information!
I've got the forks off now so I'll refill them before re-installing them. I flushed them out with some mild Stoddard Solvent and they are standing upside with the caps off to drain for a couple days till I get a tire.....well thinking about it, I better just go ahead and get new seals and dust wipers and put them in as long as the forks are off..... they aren't leaking but the seals are original.
