While I would have preferred to have two separate instruments, I can live with the accessory single unit. I still think that it's just a way to milk the customer out of a few more bucks. I bet it doesn't cost any more to produce the accessory instrument than it does to produce the stock unit.

On mine, the light would come on, the go back off in a couple of miles. A few miles later, the gauge would blink, then the light would go back on a few miles after that. The juice really wasnt worth the squeeze.
I think the single cluster was a great idea, but needed some refining. When I had my Roadster I wound up modifying the clamping surfaces so the gauge would tilt a back a little more. It did help a bit, but there were still some times the display was difficult to read in sunlight.

OH; but they've got a lot more CVOs!
And we all know that dress shoes cost a lot more than work boots.

Could the accessory speedo be adapted to an older bike, say an '02? I'd like to add a tach but prefer to keep just one gauge. Understanding the mount would need changed for this bigger diameter, is there anything else to be aware of? Thanks, Kyle

My guess would be no, as the newer bikes that this comes on are all CAN-BUS.
