XR750 Street Tracker build
Hello all, first post here, the title says it all really, my 1st XR but not my 1st Sportster, 1100 EVO back in the UK, Drag Bars & Rearsets, then a beautiful
XLX when i 1st arrived in the US.
My interest started a long before that, aback around 1968 > following race reports and articles in the infamous MCN weekly news paper Daytona, CR Axtel Norton's, later the American invasion of Roberts Mamola, Spencer etc
My 1st street tracker built back in 78 with a 71 BSA Lightening
Later a friend and i purchased those classic books
American Racer
Then our local dealer had a XR1000 we both wanted it, my friend ended up beating to the deal, so settled for my 1st Sportster as mentioned above
Ok enough of the past fast forward now
I tried calling after a couple listed on VFT listings but both were gone within couple weeks of posting
Then I found a listing for a NOS XR engine kit
Which is what I purchased
As I write it's on its way over across country to me in the Bay Area
Seen lots of very nice period 70's build, but mine will be very similar to 1 of Scott Parkers bike the company I work for has in its museum

Nice start there. This should be in the Ironhead section.
