You mean you will set the idle timing to 20* like the stock module and then time to the two dots and then maybe set it to 17 and retime it to the two dots? That should work.

If you set the module for a straight curve of 20*, then time it to the 2 dots, that should make the module correct at TDC, then you can run any program into the module and it should be spot on.

I'm running curve 3 w/voes, and 9.5:1 pistons, and still no pinging at all with 87 octane. I checked with a timing light, and it advancing for sure, after hearing all the pinging story's, I was beginning to wonder if it was working right. EDIT:Well I finally could hear some pinging with a hard roll on at 50mph-60, so I pulled in to a station and put some 91 octane in , and hit the highway again , and it was gone. I'm going to leave my curve where it's at, if I drive normal it's fine on either fuel. Pulled the plugs and they look great, a little tan.

Hello.

This post is old, but i have a question. Sorry my bad english, i write from Spain.

My brother have a 2003 Sportster 883 bored to 1200 with stock heads, and 9.5:1 compression. Now have installed an Ultima Ignition module, with Curve #2 fron Dyna 2000i software, not the #2 of Ultima. The petrol are 95 octane, the minimum in Spain.

Now we can replace the D stock Cam for the W cam from 2007 (with machined the thread for add rotor). With this W Cam, which has a reputation for increasing pinging, which curve would work best? The 2000i # 3 or the # 4?

Thank you!!

P.S. We are not experts in ignitions, so we ask you for help.

If it's any help. Hammer recommends curve #4.
They would be the ones to ask.

Thanks!

I'm ashamed to ask them, because we have not bought their kit, just 9.5: 1 pistons and we have boring the cylinders.
