Bit of a delay. Local auto stores don't have DOT 5 brake fluid or the proper thread locker for the brake sensor. On the meantime here's some pics of the kit and some detail of the end fittings.

I see now why a simple braided line won't work as it did in the front.
Front brake light switch is contained inside the brake lever assembly (a whole other can of worms with a tiny copper wedge that has a habit of disappearing).

The rear brake light switch seems to be operated by the hydraulic pressure in the line.

This is where the rear brake light sensor screws in:

Looks like the sender is going to be tucked between the rear exhaust pipe and swingarm, as I look at my bike. It should be hidden from view after install I think.

I look forward to your install pictures, seeing as my bike has the same system but so far seems to still be serviceable. It will be 32 years coming up next month however.

Finally got around to doing the install. I really do work under an overpass so weather is key:

Removal First:

10mm 12 point ratcheting box wrench to remove banjo bolt (hang onto bolt, discard washers) on master cylinder side:

10mm 12 point ratcheting box wrench to remove banjo bolt (hang onto bolt, discard washers) on caliper side:

Another clip directly on the swingarm. Keep this one. (Ignore the other wires, just tender pigtail and 12V line for license plate light)

1/4" socket will remove this clip (will be used again, DON'T LOSE TRACK OF IT!....Like I did ) above the swingarm on the caliper side

This hex head bolt holds a rigid bracket that secures the rear brake light sensor. It's inside that black rubber boot on the left. Apologies for blurriness and not remembering the fitting size

8mm 12 point to remove retaining clip for rigid portion of hose on the sprocket cover (this one won't be used again):

Slide the Boot back and disconnect the two leads, again sorry for blurriness:

Now you should be able to remove the entire assembly:

Carefully unscrew the sensor from the assembly

Thats about it for removal. Ill post the install as soon as I get a chance
