Default Generator conversion kit question

I just purchased a v-twin 12v generator/alternator conversion kit. I understand how to install it but my question is, since I’m going from a generator & regulator, which I assume was original to the bike (1977 xlh), is there anything/wires I need to remover beside the old generator & regulator?

The wire to the generator light will need to be dealt with if you aren't using it. That should be it though.
