sorry I've been neglecting the XR-1000 RX for a bit... I've been delayed by the boat repower Project... I ended up having to nearly cut the boat in half and extend the engine bay by a foot to wedge the new engines in... they are only 160 HP/side but after this I can go up to 250HP per side when I need to go faster....

Cool bike.
Shocks look like Showa's from a Dyna Sport? I have a pair from a Sportster Sport on mine and think they may be a tad shorter.. They are a 1000% improvement over stock though.
I also welded up the damper rod in the fork per the HD race prep paper and it did improve the front fork.

Agreed !!!

I had sportster sport front and rear on my XR till recently...it now wears 2012 XR1200X/HD Performance kit triple adjustable front and rear. I have the same forks on my 99 XL1200s and with 1 click of preload thery are perfect... Im guessing the XR will need no preload...
