Default 76 Ironhead Rocker Boxes

Hey Everyone,

So I am rebuilding a 76 ironhead xlch. This is my first build and i am just learning by reading the manual and YouTube, so i am a bit of a newbie. I just put together one of my rocker boxes because i have to put in new rocker arms. Upon putting the rocker arms back in, one of them moves up and down like it should, but the other one has some resistance on it when i check the move-ability. I did put a layer of oil on the rocker arm shafts before hand. Is this normal? Does it just need to get broken in or more oil? Any help would be much appreciated!

I would check Arm Shaft to Rocker for smooth movement before Installing into the box, yes use engine oil to wet the parts, OEM uses Springs to take up the Thrust slack between Arm and Hardened Thrust Washer ( unlike a shovel that uses nice spacers ) . So the Spring does give Some Resistance and may add to your binding
