Protac backrest
Anyone have one of these? I have an "old man" back and am starting to look for a backrest for my 03' 883. Searching Google only brings up this brand of rest and it is available from only one source. A bit on the pricey side also. I have the ability to manufacture one (I have made several) but see no real good spot to attach one. I am using a stock 2 up seat. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I would mount it to the fender strut bolts. You could incorporate the shock mount too.

I use a Mustang seat with a backrest, but that is rather pricey

I had a Corbin Dual Tour with backrest on a Kawi 1500 Classic and really liked it but as you say "quite pricey".

I was looking at those (I currently have HD hard leather bags on) and it looks like I could do that. Might have to go with longer bolts though.
