Default 1976 XLCH front master Cylinder bore size/hand controls??

Just wondering about getting new hand controls for my 76 XLCH single disk.
I've been told my bore size is 3/4" but have heard of other people using different bore sizes to get better brake performance with their single disk.
Can anyone give me some advice on what I can get away with here, so I know what bore size MC to look for when searching for new controls?

I was looking at these?? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...Q5fAccessories
will they work for me?

Thanks in advance

If I'm not mistaken, '73 thru '81 single disc uses a 3/4" bore m/c. A smaller bore m/c will work, but it will require less effort at the lever, and have more travel/feel than a 3/4" m/c.
I'm using a 5/8" m/c with a dual disc dresser front end. Lever travel is increased, but it's like "power brakes". I can haul my 1500lb rig down from 70mph with just 2 fingers.
