Guess I should've read your question before answering the poll. Yes I like them for safety, but I did take them off cause they looked stupid. Is safety stupid? No, it just looks that way sometimes.

I say it looks a lot better without. Although I haven't gotten around to removing mine yet. But I am planning on it. I'm a very busy girl. But I agree about not making us too invisible. We can't expect to be safe when no one can see us. But I also beleive in really obsenely loud pipes, so they WILL hear us comin.

Removed the rear ones when sissybar upright was installed but still have them on the forks and will probably just leave them alone.

I took mine off the Sportster and kept them on the Dyna.

Left mine on, 07 XL50. The rears are half covered when the detachable sisy bar is on. My riding buddy ( 2007 1200C ) took his off. Really not much of a difference either way.
