I’m confused.

Some youtube videos about installing Barnett Extra Plate kits in Sportsters show the damper seat, the concave damper spring, and the “B fiber plate” being installed and some videos don’t mention or show these components.

I asked Barnett for clariication and their response was: None of our extra plate kits use a judder spring or seat.

Are they related to the Scorpion kit? Or only used on some BT versions?
Can you post some links to demonstrate this diversity related to Sportster kits?

This youtube video was posted by Get Lowered Cycles. The video shows the installation of the damper seat, damper spring, and the “B” friction plate. There is a link in the video description to the Barnett 307-30-10011 kit. Per the response I got from Barnett, that kit does not include a damper spring.
Get Lowered Cycles: Barnett Clutch with Damper

David Jones posted a 60-minute video about installing a Barnett Extra Plate kit. He showed the installation of the damper seat, damper spring, and “B” friction plate. I watched this video two days ago. Yesterday, when I tried to view it again, I got the message that it was no longer available for viewing in the USA. Perhaps, an XLF member outside the USA will be able to view it.

Well - the video from Get Lowered Cycles definitely shows the damper seat & spring install with the 'B' friction plate...

I wonder if Barnett changed the design to NOT use those parts? Problem of some sort? Odd that they ignored the issue when you asked about it - giving only a short - no - for an answer... Maybe avoiding admitting issues with those parts?

I just installed the regular extra clutch plate kit, not the kevlar, a few months back and there was none of that. it was a very strait forward install. Taking out the old and replacing with the new kit. I really did not need a new clutch I was just getting rid of the spring plate.
I had seen that video also so I was kind of confused as to why they were referring to parts I did not have in mine. I thought it was because of the kevlar plates so I looked at a bunch of other videos and none of them had those parts.
I understand the confusion.
So then I found the AUTOT3K HCL video and he shows the same 2 spring b plate setup. OF course his is not a sportster
I gave up as my kit did not have those, once installed it works great.
