Hydraulics will always be easier to actuate if sized appropriately. It's not supposed to be as easy.

That said, is your cable in decent shape? Mine was a bear to pull unless lubed fairly regularly. Ended up swapping it out for a new cable entirely, but there's a massive difference in effort between a clean lubed cable and a grungy or dry cable.

LOL, yes, and in the case of this thread it's apparently a BAD thing.

That's actually a standard British saying instead of F'd up. Used quite liberally in "The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin". That was one hysterically funny series by the way.

Yep, title does mean "F***k'd up"! Usually, "Big style"!
The arm extension is really needed though, i guess some of you over the pond can drop into top and not need to change for miles and miles.
Over here, the roads are much different, rarely in any one gear for long.
My ankle swivels like a fiddlers elbow at times! So the clutch fingers get a real work out!

You can try a Clutchlite from Custom Chrome. Like a Müller ramp.

I'm rarely in any one gear for long on the roads I ride. I seek those roads out. Long, straight roads are boring.

Nothing I like more than a long ride through the desert on a straight road. Once the drone of miles settles in, I just get inside my head and roll. Excellent stress reliever.

+1

You're alone with what's in your head. A great way to confront your demons.
