Thanks. I've read that once this morning. Will do so again before starting. I have a laptop, the link goes with me to the garage :-) Service manual is already out there.
I'm not adverse to learning, just made a mistake with it last time. This time, I know it should be a very small adjustment, so I'm not starting from scratch. Just a hair this way or that. Rather than flipping a coin, think I'll do some learning and determine which way to turn that adjustment screw. This is assuming that the clutch was my culprit.

Yesterday's project ran long, no bike time. Leaving town tomorrow morning. Back at this Sunday or Monday. Update to follow ...

So, trip across country, family matters, yaddah yaddah.
I adjusted the clutch per the link provided ... all better.
New problem though, I can't get the primary / clutch oil to stop leaking.
I have tried to get that stupid gasket to sit right long enough to put the derby cover back on. Are there any tricks out there for this?

Lean the bike on the right side against something that will hold it, and put some small spots of wheel bearing grease on the primary cover.

I put a small amount of gasket glue on mine.
