I built one 6/8“ over and made it 2” wider. Not sure how to explain it but I’ll try. Didn’t have a jig but used a flat plate, squared it up and clamped everything down. Cut all but two inches off the axle side. Got some metal and drilled/cut out the axle slots. Layed them on the outside original arm ran a cross brace to tie it together. Added gussets top and bottom for reinforcement. Never had a problem. Good luck, let us know what you come up with.

Good Info... I do Not need Wider... Largest engine that will go in it is a 114" and it was kinda hard on spindly chassis... but, that is when we were really trying to set the world on Fire also..8.90's an 150+
Won't be doing that with this one!! Nor to Myself!!!!

The info I have pertains to an 04 swingarm that had the 03 and older frame mounts welded on. We extended the arm 8 or 10 inches by "slugging" the original axle holes. I used rosette welds to secure the extensions onto the legs of the swingarm. The 04+ arm is 1.5 inches wider than the 03 and older arms. This allowed us to run the 17x4.5 deuce wheel with a 180 shinko hookup (think of it as a drag radial) I was able to purchase the correct size "slug" material from a metal supply house. I used solid stock for the slugs.

Thanks for the Visual...
I think I may prefer the Newer Axle Adjusters and swingarm section...
