I went out and bought the new Cylinder today. I did the price comparison and it seemed to be about $40 for the rebuild and the cylinder was $87. For 1/2 the cost the new one seemed to be the better choice for me.

Thanks for the posts guys,
Larry

Well I put the new master on and... Drum Roll please... I HAVE REAR BRAKES!! YEA!!! Kinda...

The brake pedal won't return to the top of travel when I let off the brake.?.? There's about 1/2" that is the master "looseness" at the extream end of the travel. I don't see that as an issue. The issue is that the brakes don't release when I let off at a light or parking the bike now.

It's a drag on the disk, not an all out no movement. It's kinda disconcerting. Any help out there???

Thanks Guys.

Old Wives Tale about DOT5. Fluid doesn't compress. I don't care if it is water, gas or DOT5 . . it doesn't compress. Any interpretation of a mushy feel with DOT5 is from air in the system. There's some deep discussions about why the air . . but it is not the DOT5 compressing. I also run DOT% is a lot of my vehicles. It is not hygroscopic, so it saves the internal cylinders. T

It makes a difference? Oh, if something is old, no one will see the inaccurate information?? SMH
