Ended up putting in the H10C plugs in just because it dieseled today....oddly enough, the plugs that were in there , J12YC didn’t look bad



But, I put in the new Champions and it’s like the bike woke up! Throttle is smoother, deceleration is smoother and less popping, all around better.

i'm looking at the plug on the right, and it appears that where the color changes on the strap that you possibly have too much timing... it's an odd angle for me in the pic - could be I’m just seeing some carbon build up after the 90° bend in the strap; you have the plugs in your hands you'll make a better judge of it...

The dieseling doesn't look like it was caused by the plug itself.

Maybe it was running so well (making better power) it heated up the carbon deposits!

The ground strap would be blue and the heat would extend farther up the threads than just 2 threads, if it was the plug.

Totally agree, and this picture doesn't show down inside the plugs at all, however; the gray ring around the porcelain is saying the plugs are staying too cold for this engine.

I wouldn't judge them without knowing more about the engine condition, because the gray could be caused by slight oil consumption.

Are there any black pepper flakes on the porcelain that we don't see?

What your pictures should actually be showing us is down inside the plug. I like to place the plugs side by side on white paper, then touch the hex and the tips together so they angle towards each other on the tip end. If you can manage good lighting inside the plugs you can take a picture that shows down into both in the same shot.
