Yep, I bought it in 09 with 4000 miles. Due various issues it was out of use for about 3-4 years,
Other bikes, a car and truck, it does not get much use.

I'm not sure when I replaced mine, perhaps at 150,000 miles?

I currently have 263,000 miles on my 2006 Sportster and I know I am presently on the second one and have no thoughts on replacing it at this time.

I don't think it needs replacing, however if it will make you feel better go ahead as they are not that expensive

Nothing wrong with having spares but I'd bet that in 5 yrs this one would still be sitting on a shelf. Just don't over-tighten the primary chain. The cases grow as they warm and the chain "tightens". A little "too loose" when cold is "just right" when up to temp.
