Welcome to the forums.
It is a steep learning curve to post pictures but not so bad after the first few successful posts.
Then it will be getting YouTube videos to display the video in posts rather than the just link.

I fully agree with Al.
This forum seems to be the only “social network” where I can’t just copy a picture from my photo library and paste it into a post.
Copy-paste is the only method I consider “very easy”. |

Hey guys, thanks for the replies. I could also call myself a cantankerous old git, but that name's been taken already. No doubt I'll get the hang of it after a few tries.
BTW, I was born in Bournemouth a long, long time ago, so hello to South England from Downunder!

After much gnashing of teeth, and scoldings here, I have finally come to the conclusion that on Imgur, one only needs to paste the "Linked BBCode" from an uploaded image into a post to get the photo to appear without having to click on a link. Do not use the image or link buttons!
I hope this helps the next one that was as inept as me at this.
