Your XLS are some 84? these brake rotors set ups are stock on almost all HD models sportster and BTs from 85 to late 90s...come on ,you have to know better out there in the homeland of the HD!

Those are the Drag Speciality brake aka as pit bike brake. Was sold for 19.99$ made with cheapo stainless steel.

Could well be if they were pre-1984's. I had an original '84 XLH1000, bought it brand new (see earlier picture), around '09 I had an '84 XLX-61 with one factory drilled brake rotor up front. To make a long story short: Every Harley I've owned from model year 1984 had one or two factory drilled rotors up front. The only one that had a drilled rotor on the rear wheel was my '00 FXD Dyna Super Glide.

I didn’t notice this thread till now because almost never venture out of the ironhead section. But I have the same rotor with the same crack as the OP


I just discovered it last week but it’s probably been there for years. This bike has been out of commission for 12 years. I am thinking it was already cracked like that back when I was still riding it. Now that I know about it, I’ll replace it before this bike gets back on the road.

And I’m pretty sure this is the original rotor on this ‘85 sporty.

That s it;not only mine has cracked...My replacement came from a 88 model...maybe a better year/quality for that jap disks.No cracks,yet.
