VSS update...
So I ordered a new VSS for my 2007 from the dealer with a part number of 74402-04A based on the sportsterpedia page, http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...k:evo:engctl03 , picked it up took it home and when I removed the VSS from my 2007, it had a 74402-05 part number VSS in it. According to the sportsterpedia page, this should be for a 2013 Sportser. My wires did not look cut and spliced, so not sure why it had a different part number in it, but check yours before ordering a new one. the 74402-04a has a long pigtail coming off of it, and the 74402-05 has a plug in connector right on the VSS, easy enough to spot.
